2018 was an amazing year for me.

It was personally one of the hardest years I have ever lived through.

The stresses, losses and betrayals.

From having a child go through a life-threatening illness, with all the accompanying difficult and long medical treatments; to having my marriage disintegrate, having the person who was ‘supposed to be my best friend’ neglect our marriage and leave without warning; losing my second family (aka in-laws); job changes; moving too many times; and financial and job insecurity.

It has been a hell of a year!

The amazing parts and lessons are:

  1. My child is now healthy, strong and living life fully! I am amazed by his strength and the loving relationship he has with his wife. (Whom I also got to welcome to our family this year. Truly amazing!)
  2. I have discovered the strength that lives in my soul.
  3. My priorities are much clearer now. Always it is my family first.
  4. My spiritual life received a much-needed boost. I have learned to trust that blessings and good will come shining out from the hard times.
  5. I know now that living alone is better than living in a lonely…
