Inspiration for when you struggle
All writers struggle from time to time about what to write about.
I have used this struggle to put off writing for far too long.
The struggle is real, but solutions are out there.
The first thing you must do, no matter what, is to write anyway. Write anything.
Just the act of writing can shake loose an idea or two. And it keeps the writing habit going.
Having the daily habit of writing — even crap — makes you a much more successful writer than someone who waits to write until genius strikes.
In my experience, genius strikes after you start writing, not usually before.
All great writers make writing consistently, daily, a habit they will not break.
That’s what makes them successful, that’s what breaks them through the times when the ideas seem to stop.
