Books That Have Impacted My Life
2 min readApr 29, 2019
I love to read. I have been a reader since I was 2 years old and had memorized Cinderella and “read” it back to my parents.
Books have been a life-saver for me. Saving me from stress, boredom, indecision, heartache and more. Books have been, and continue to be, a balm to my soul and a beacon of light to my mind.
Some books are simple escapism, pulp fiction, silly romances, etc.
Some are profound and life-changing.
Here is a quick list of some books I have read that I love and have impacted my life to a greater or lesser degree. Some are simple and not that intense, while others are quite significant.
- Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott.
- The Twelve Rules of Life, by Jordan. B. Peterson.
- The Murder on the Orient Express, by Agatha Christie.
- The Poisonwood Bible, by Barbara Kingsolver.
- Man’s Search for Meaning, by Victor Frankl.
- Daring Greatly, by Brene Brown.
- Do the Work, by Steven Pressfield.
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, by JK Rowling.
- A Return to Love, by Marianne Williamson.
